Check your roof for weak spots, holes and loose or missing shingles. If you have a fireplace in your home, check to see if your chimney stack and damper is secured with wire mesh. This also goes for any fan vents leading out of your attic and on to your roof. Check to make sure all vents are in place and secured. Walk completely around your home and check that your soffits and fascia are still intact and in place. The smallest opening will make easy access to your attic.
